Dianite

Dianite is an amphibole rich rock that is often called 'Blue Nephrite' or 'Siberian Blue Jade', because of the similarity of its structure to that of Nephrite. It was discovered in 1997 in the same part of Russia as Charoite and was named after Diana, Princess of Wales. This stone became very popular mostly because of its unique blue color, which could be of all shades of blue, from light to dark. Often dianite has patterns that resemble clouds. Spheres from dianite look like mysterious distant planets. Unfortunately, this beautiful material comes from the mine only in very small amounts. Rough of good color is very rare and quite expensive. Dianite is thought to be good for healing, meditation and peace, and also for the development of one’s intuition.  Dianite is particularly supportive to those of us who feel hurried, anxious, stressed or simply overwhelmed. It is an uplifting stone and can help us to remain cool and calm, especially in stressful situations. It also helps to relieve anger and frustration, helps to make us more creative and prompts a sense of harmony.
