It is hard to imagine a person not fascinated by the moon – from our very childhood we all used to stare at it from our bedroom window and dream of deep space, unknown planets, and stars.

Watching the phases of the moon is the first journey into the magical world of astronomy for all children. We saw the full moon, and a few days later there was a only thin tiny bit left from it. How surprised we were when we learned that a piece of the moon had not been bitten off, it`s only our own Earth`s shadow.

The shungite for our crescent moons comes from the Zazhoginskaya mine near the village of Shunga in mysterious and beautiful Karelia.
